PLACE is an interdisciplinary research group exploring the socio-spatial implications of XR through art, design & education.

PLACE was created as a research practice to test the bounds of the emerging field of XR through projects that combine experiences in the physical world with digital overlays interaction. Our research is focused on four primary practice areas: XR Research & Prototyping, Immersive Installations, Design & Technical Education, Placemaking in Extended Realities.

PLACE was founded in 2018 in the San Francisco Bay Area by Anastasia Victor and Marisha Farnsworth.
